Wingplay at the Cliffs
Shorts
In the morning breeze at Ptero Cliffs, a pair of young Pteranodons was observed carving short arcs above the water. Their flight was intermittent, punctuated by sudden hops — a clear practice of balance and maneuvering in the coastal air currents.
Older flyers watched from nearby ledges: adults remained composed, issuing only occasional sharp calls as if coaching the juveniles. Nesting activity on the cliffs has risen, but no disputes occurred — the training stayed within a single sector.
Keepers advise minimizing noise in the observation area for the next couple of hours to allow the fledglings space to rehearse takeoffs and landings. If all goes well, the cliffs should return to their normal rhythm by evening.
