Second Caravan of the Longnecks
Migration
At first light in the tranquil Valley of Giants a fresh column of longnecks was observed. Sector B-12, following yesterday’s passage, is once more filled with the warm thud of footsteps and the low resonance of swinging tails as a group of Diplodocus progresses along the planned route toward new fern-rich grazing grounds.
The caravan includes adults and several juveniles; movement is steady and coordinated with no obvious signs of distress. Keepers are monitoring from observation posts, recording pace and spacing to ensure clear passage and to avoid intersections with adjacent zones.
Care is being taken at shallow water crossings: leading animals test the substrate and find the best lines while the young tend to stay mid-column. Given the group’s size and composed behavior, no intervention by staff is currently necessary.
The column is expected to reach the main pastures in the valley’s center by evening. The scene carries a primeval rhythm—necks and silhouettes emerging through morning mist against the low hills, a measured, almost hypnotic procession.
