North trail is open

The Northern Trail has reopened after a two-day inspection. An overnight downpour washed out several parts of the route, brought down young trees and disabled one of the motion sensors near Stone Pass.
This morning, the ranger team cleared the path, reinforced the wet sections with wooden walkways and restored communication with the observation stations. An additional inspection confirmed that no large predators had approached the trail during the past twenty-four hours. Only tracks belonging to small herbivorous dinosaurs and several young ornithopods were found in the soft ground.
The route will be accessible every day until 6:00 p.m. Animal activity in the northern forest increases noticeably after that time, so the automatic gates at the trail entrance will be closed. Rangers also ask visitors not to leave the marked route: the soil beyond it remains unstable after the rain, and the dense vegetation conceals several small ravines.
