Night Passage and the Horned Wall
Incident
At 02:40 local night time, monitoring staff recorded a Tyrannosaurus stepping beyond its enclosure at Predator Ridge and approaching the boundary with Fern Forest. Night protocols were immediately escalated: patrols activated acoustic deterrents and boundary lighting.
At the forest edge, a group of juvenile and adult Triceratops formed a defensive 'wall of horns'. The Tyrannosaurus probed the area from a distance for several minutes but avoided direct contact. Coordinated actions by the keepers guided the predator back into its sector with calming signals.
Post-incident inspection found minor vegetation scratches and a shallow abrasion on one Triceratops juvenile; no serious injuries or breaches in fencing were detected. Temporary security enhancements will remain in place until morning rounds and a detailed check of the boundary fixtures are completed.
