Just after first light a steady procession of Diplodocus moved along the worn trails of the Valley of Giants — long necks and tapering bodies flowing in a composed rhythm across the dawn-lit plain. Adults led the line, with subadults and a few newly arrived juveniles keeping the pace steady and deliberate.
Partway through the route a compact group of Triceratops fell in beside the herd, apparently following the same corridor toward fresh fern stands. Their bulky heads and shorter gait contrasted with the longnecks, yet their behavior remained calm: the triceratops took positions along the flanks, matching the diplodoci's tempo.
Keepers note that these mixed movements reduce risk—Diplodocus provide broad, moving mass that can deter predators, while triceratops add vigilance and help locate feeding patches. The caravan paused at several checkpoints for water and to bask briefly on sun-warmed ground.
