Circles around the Incubator
Observation
A calm morning in the Fern Forest revealed attentive behavior: a small group of adult Triceratops walked several slow circuits around the incubator. The animals moved deliberately, pausing occasionally at barriers and rustling vegetation — more like inspection or territorial familiarity than agitation.
Keepers noted the adults maintained comfortable spacing and showed no aggressive displays; the pattern resembled ritualized checking rather than conflict. Flattened plants and large footprint trails marked several inspection points, allowing staff to map habitual routes. A young Diplodocus lingered on the forest edge, observing the adults from a safe distance.
The team is using these observations to adjust patrol schedules and reduce potential stress on the soon-to-hatch individuals. The incubator remains on standard protocols: climate monitoring and quiet, distanced rounds by staff. The observation will remain open and any behavioral changes will be reported.
